Tuned BMW 1M with over 500 turbo horsepower
The BMW 1M coupe (not to be mistaken for a BMW M1), is powered by a twin turbo inline 6 engine that delivers 335hp and gives the BMW M3 a run for it's money. It's pretty much the same engine as in the BMW 335i, but modified a bit to deliver 35 more horsepower. Very capable engine. BMW has been on the cutting edge of delivering a car that tuners love to modify while enthusiasts love to drive stock. They cover the best of both worlds, which leaves the BMW prime for the aftermarket.
This particular BMW 1M is tuned by a company called Tuningwerk located in Germany and has been beefed up with more power and better handling than stock. They call it the BMW 1M RS, and it's their entry level car that is considered street legal for the streets of Germany. With a top speed of 186mph, 521 horsepower and 453 torque at only 2800 rpm, this car is a blast to drive.
In addition to creating more power, Tuningwerk also added BMW 1M Coilovers, a new clutch and carbon fiber brake rotors. On the inside, they had Recaro seats and some carbon fiber treatment.
This BMW 1M rides on ATS superlight 19 inch wheels on Dunlop Sport Maxx tires which are 245/35R19 front and 285/30R19 rear. Pretty beefy for a car of this size.

Jeep SRT8 vs Audi R8 V10 vs Nissan GT-R vs BMW X6M in Russia
Russia is quickly becoming the home of exotic drag racing. This video shows an incredible 1000 horsepower Jeep SRT8 racing against a bone stock Audi R8 V10, Switzer Nissan GT-R with 850 horsepower, and a Evotech 620 horsepower BMW X6M. Unlike here in the United States, these races occur on a special 1 mile long track so you get to really see the cars in action.

2012 BMW M5 All Wheel Drive Twin Turbo
Whew! A 2012 BMW M5 Twin Turbo and All Wheel Drive. Looks like BMW is taking their M5 against such cars as the Nissan GT-R. Unlikely competition, I know... the 2012 BMW M5 is 4 doors, meant for comfort, and a complete opposite than the purpose built Nissan GT-R, but they are very similar beasts.
BMW has not released too many details about the 2012 BMW M5, but we do know about the twin turbo and all wheel drive. We also know it's twin turbo V8 is going to be based off of the 4.4 liter V8 found in the X5 M and X6 M which makes 555 horsepower, but it will be tuned for much more. The good thing about a turbo platform is that generating much more power will be much easier than with an all motor version that is so tweaked that modifications don't add much power.
The 2012 M5 will also have a special all new 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission which will give lightning fast precision shifts.
Very exciting! We can see tuners coming out with simple chips to raise boost, up timing, and lean the fuel mixture... easy extr 50-100 horsepower on such a platform.

10 Best Car Interiors of 2011 by Ward’s Auto
Every year, Ward's AutoWorld magazine picks the 10 best car interiors. Their picks for 2011 gave us a bit of a surprise as there are 4 interiors from American manufactures which typically is reserved for imports. The American car companies have really stepped up their game. One unsurprising choice is the Chevy Cruze, but it's hard to imagine it was picked as one of the best interiors when there is a safety recall for their steering wheel falling off.

I agree with the choices of the interiors and am amazed by the interior of the Kia Optima. They have really done a great job making this car appealing to the masses and one of the most appealing in it's segment, and even beyond.
2011 BMW Z4 GT3 Race Car
BMW is hitting it big with their 2010 BMW Z4 GT3 Race car, and now they have an all new one for 2011. The 2011 features quite a few improvements over the 2010 but the main objective was to improve aerodynamics. Aerodynamics is very big in racing because these changes can improve gas mileage for less fill ups, improve top speed, and improve down force for handling.
The 2011 BMW Z4 GT3 still has the 4.4L V8, but it has new electronics for better power delivery, and still has a 6 speed transmissions with dual shift pedals.
