2JZ S2000 – Supra Powered S2000 Does Wheelie w/ Video
During the TX2K12 drag race event in Texas last weekend, the crowd got to see a Supra Powered S2000 with a 2JZ engine, running up against a good old Supra. What the crowd didn't expect however, was this S2000 was a bit too powerful for its own good, and ended up doing a huge wheelie down the track, eventually losing out to the "true" Supra.
The S2000 is built by Raw Performance, and was racing head to head against the Supra from Majestic Motorsports.
While we do love the idea of a 2JZ S2000, we would have liked to see a true heads up race with the Supra vs the S2000 with a built VTEC 2.2L motor.
Honda Civic NGTC – British Touring Car Championship Racer

Wow, this car looks like it means all business! The Honda Civic NGTC (Next Generation Touring Car) is Honda's answer to the British Touring Car Championship and based on the European 5 door hatch. We don't know too many details about this car because Honda is being hush hush, but the car looks awesome.
With a custom wide body kit, and side exhaust, this car is all business. Last year Honda debuted a Honda S2000 that did very well, and they hope to match their success with this new Civic.
2012 Honda Civic Hatchback Race Car
The 2012 Honda Civic Hatchback is going to give it's owners a joyous time carving out roads in Europe, but unfortunately not in the United States. Maybe one day we'll get one here, but for now the 2012 Civic Hatch will be Euro only, and is going to compete in the 2012 British Touring Car Championship or BTCC. The 2012 Civic Hatchback is going to be prepared by the Team Dynamics crew, which has a long standing relationship with Honda Motor Company.
To get the race season underway with a bang, Honda released a series of 4 videos called "What Drives a Racing Team". You can see the first series above.
Honda CRZ RR by Mugen – Track Ready Hybrid

Honda is working on increasing the popularity of it's CRZ sport hybrid, and what better way than to get Mugen involved? Last 4th of July weekend, Honda surprised everyone at the Goodwood Festival of Speed by unveiling a CRZ concept, the Mugen CRZ RR.
By first looked, the Mugen RR CRZ has a special Mugen body kit, which consists of everything from the front bumper to the rear bumper and side skirts with 18 inch wheels. The car is going to feature a Mugen supercharger that is claimed to bring the CRZ up to 197 horsepower and 181 ft lbs of torque. Good enough for sprints of 6.6 seconds to 60mph.
So far all we've seen is concepts and no real look under the hood. We hope Honda and Mugen can give us a timeline and let us know if this car is going to be available at all, what kind of performance specs we can see out of it, and how much this is going to cost over the standard Honda CRZ. Right now, the aftermarket has taken to the CRZ without the help of Mugen. Companies such as AEM have released a Honda CRZ Cold Air Intake, and Eibach has release Honda CRZ lowering springs. We are excited to see what the aftermarket will bring once there is a supercharged option available that has the backing of Honda.
Exciting times to come for the Honda CRZ!
2012 Honda Civic Si 9th Gen

For the 2012 Honda Civic Si, bigger is always better. With a new larger 2.4L engine now cranking out 201 horsepower and 170 ft/lbs of torque, it's got more power and performance over the 2011 K20Z3 engine that it replaces. 22% more torque! Still mated to a 6 speed transmissions with limited slip, we're excited over the new 2.4L engine. It's a much better base for modifying, and we can't wait to see some fully built all motor, supercharged and turbo Civics!
Since the engine is now 2.4L, we are not sure if some of the 2.0L parts will fit, such as headers, exhausts, or radiators. However, knowing Honda, many of the parts will interchange. We won't be surprised if people with a 2006-2011 Civic Si would do a 2012 engine swap. We'll report back on this when we find out the strengths and weaknesses of the 2.4L, and if it happened to carry over from the TSX.

For 2012, the Honda Civic Si will have a new 5 inch LCD "Intelligent" Multi-Informaiton Display (i-MID) with various information being displayed here from the car's computer. You get such information as the radio station, the time, temperature, and various other things that don't really fit anywhere else when you have navigation.
The 2012 Honda Civic Si also has a brand new steering wheel that is thicker and much nicer than the old one.
The 2012 Honda Civic Si also has a little meter that gives you information as to when you hit VTEC, almost like a boost gauge for VTEC. Pretty nifty.
10 Best Car Interiors of 2011 by Ward’s Auto
Every year, Ward's AutoWorld magazine picks the 10 best car interiors. Their picks for 2011 gave us a bit of a surprise as there are 4 interiors from American manufactures which typically is reserved for imports. The American car companies have really stepped up their game. One unsurprising choice is the Chevy Cruze, but it's hard to imagine it was picked as one of the best interiors when there is a safety recall for their steering wheel falling off.
After looking over 51 interiors, the editors of Wards chose these ten as the best interiors of 2011:
Audi A8
BMW X3 xDrive35i
Chevrolet Cruze 2LT RS
Dodge Charger Rallye Plus
Ford Focus Titanium
Honda Odyssey Elite
Hyundai Elantra Limited
Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit
Kia Optima EX
Volvo S60
These were chosen based on many things, but the main points were materials, ergonomics, safety, comfort, fit-and-finish, overall value, human-machine interaction, and aesthetics.
Here is a video of the Audi R8 interior review
I agree with the choices of the interiors and am amazed by the interior of the Kia Optima. They have really done a great job making this car appealing to the masses and one of the most appealing in it's segment, and even beyond.

Honda Civic K24 Swap at GT Live (VIR) Time Attack
A customer showed us this video and we wanted to share it with you. It's a K24 Powered Honda Civic EG racing at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in GT Live's Time Attack competition.
The car simply hauls ass. It makes about 250whp, but with low drivetrain loss and being lightweight, it's enough to make it a serious contender.
The car is owned and driven by David Pratte, and here is his modification list:
Stock K24A2 block (w/ Hytech baffled oil pan and Type S oil pump), stock K24A2 head with Skunk2 Stage 3 camshafts, valvesprings, and retainers, Hondata Kpro ECU, Hybrid Racing conversion harness, Vibrant CAI and 3'' cat-back exhaust, DC Sport K-swap header, and that's about it. 250 horsepower at the front wheels. Tuned for 94 octane Sunoco pump gas. With race gas and more aggressive tuning there's probably another 10 whp in it.
Transmission is K20A2 with JDM 4th, 5th and 6th gears, KAAZ LSD, and CRV 5.0 final drive.
We love to see good driving and good reliable power coming out of Honda's. Keep it up David!
